TRX385 is a unique targeted T cell immunomodulator that binds the ILT3 receptor. ILT3 is a member of the immunoglobulin-like transcript (ILT) family of receptors, which are found on a number of types of white blood cells, including antigen presenting cells (APCs), as well as on tumor cells. Different ILTs are involved in either initiating or inhibiting an immune response. Preclinically, TRX385 enhances the development of T effector cell responses. On the basis of these results, we are investigating whether TRX385 may be beneficial in the treatment of cancer and chronic viral infections. Further testing is being conducted in the laboratory.
